Ladies and gentlemen, I now present to you....

My 50th post!! Thanks to all who asked me questions. It will be great fun to answer!!

Carilyn asked:
~What extracurricular electives did you do in high school?~

I took piano lessons, worked a job, and got partway through Agriculture. I also did a lot of homemaking stuff, like cooking, baking, sewing, etc. But I didn't get high-school credit for that. :D

~Also, are you planning on going to college?~

No is the simplest answer. I may decide later to take an online college course to be a veterinary technician, but I seriously doubt it. That would happen only if grooming failed me, and so far it looks like it'll carry me as far as I need it to. :)

Jenna asked:

~What are your thoughts and convictions on giving God your womb? ~

My thoughts: I want a large but not huge family; my mother is very talented. ;D I'm not sure I could handle 10 kids, especially if I kiddo like me were included. :D

My convictions: everything is totally up to God. If He wants me to have lots and lots of kids, so be it. Also, there is the other side: if He only gives me 1, 2, or 3, I'll accept that too. I've bascially given it into His hands completely....that goes for marriage, too.

~Do you think that girls are ONLY supposed to wear skirts/dresses or are pants okay?!?~

That's a hard one. ;D I think that in every situation possible, a girl should wear skirts and dresses. However, if in a particular situation it would be more modest for her to wear pants, she should. For example, my job: there would be a lot of opportunities for a skirt to fly up! Sports is another example. Otherwise, skirts are the way to go! I like them a lot anyway. :D

~One more...what is your favorite thing about living in a big family?~

Yipes Jenna, you asked me some toughies!! Lemme see....I would have to say it's the love. With more ppl around you, there are more ppl to give and receive love from! Also, the fun times occur more often and are THE BEST!! :D After all, with 10 kids, at least one of them is bound to be a bit of a clown. ;) And I think we have more then one....

Shann asked:

~How many kids do you want, when you get married?~

I don't like to put an absolute number on it, but I think that between 5 and 8 would be great! Not too much but plenty to love and have fun with. ;)

~What is your BIGGEST dream?~

I have to say that right now it's getting married and starting my family. Being finished with my 2 yrs of mandatory work at my job ranks pretty high too. Sorry folks, I don't aspire to much. ;D Oh oh oh, I forgot: to own at least one horse. Another big dream. Does that satisfy your curiousity Ms. Shann? You got 3 answers to one question.

~If you were to travel ANYWHERE in the world, where would you choose?~

Oh goodness....I hate that question. *laughs* Not really.....it's just hard to answer!! I like TX pretty well. ;) Ummm..probably France or the Western US. That and WI. :D ;)

Thanks everyone for your questions!! I hope the answers are satisfactory. I tried to keep them short and concise....I can totally go on and on sometimes. :D I guess that's part of being a girl...*rolls eyes*

Love to you all,
~E

Good news!!

Yesterday some dear friends of mine had their baby!! It's a little boy this time. They don't have a name for him yet though. Just pray for the mother; she's had a lot of baby's, and the more babies you have the more pain you experience after birth. ;) So please pray for her. :) Thanks!!

Almost to 50!

Not me, my number of blog posts! ;D I thought that Bethany at Asher Acres had a great idea: have those who read my blog ask me questions and I'll answer them in my 50th post. A request as to content: please don't ask me personal questions, like my age, the city I live in, etc. Other then that, fire away! Probably won't be too many questions, as I don't have very many readers (that I know of!) but it'll be fun anyway. :)

Also, I've started a new blog! It's called Photos for Him at www.txphotosforhim.blogspot.com There isn't very much on it yet...I'm going to have to find/take some interesting pics for y'all to look at. It should have something on it within hrs though. ;D

One more thing: my sister also started another blog about American Sign Language, which she is learning right now (and is getting pretty good at!). I know she'd appreciate you hopping over and leaving her a comment. :) www.fngasl.blogspot.com

Thanks!

Prayer please...

I know of some ppl who really need prayer right now. Here's the rundown:

One of my co-workers recently lost her mother, and now has just lost her stepdaughter to either suicide or murder; no one is sure which. Sadly, this co-worker is already mentally a bit unstable and I'm afraid that this might push her over the edge, if you KWIM. She also does claim herself to be a Christian, but again, I'm not so sure. Lots of ppl think they're Christian when they're probably not. ;) Actions speak louder then words.

Also, some friends of a friend just had a baby...tragically, the baby was born with an entire hemisphere of her brain missing. Her chances of survival are very low, although she has made it for two days. Please just pray for her parents; I'm sure they are devastated. Here is the link to their blog: http://sweetkarafaith.blogspot.com/

Also, let's not forget Hope...she needs our prayers more then ever now!

Thanks,
~E

Something I hadn't thought of before.

Last Sunday, one of our pastors brought out a point I hadn't thought about before. He said that when he was a boy, he always thought that people say "Happy New Year!" because they're wishing everyone a happy New Years day. However, that is not the case; we're actually wishing everyone a good year!! As I was thinking about that, I wondered what a good year meant? It came to me that a "good" year does not mean that I am happy all the time and lots of great stuff happens to me. It means that I am doing the Lord's will in everything I do and praising Him with thankfulness, even in the hard times. When you think about it in that light, every year can and should be a good year. :)

~E

BTW, how do y'all like my "new" blog? ;D Can you tell I love putting new stuff on my blog? It's so much fun!

Happy New Year!!

Wow, another year has passed. Lots and lots happened in our family in this year! I'm sure that all of you have had an interesting year, too. As I think back on this year, I wonder what I've accomplished? Quite a lot, actually. Here are some things I managed:

Driver's license
Graduated school
Picked my job at Petsmart back up
Became a groomer through them
Bought my own car from grandma
Partly learned how to love someone when it's hard (I'm still working on it. ;D)

Here are some things I'd like accomplish this year:

Read my Bible every single day.
Work on praying without ceasing.
Keep working on being a better big sister.
Learn better how to balance my love of animals and my love of humans. It can be really hard to find the balance sometimes...I tend to tip too much towards animals. Don't worry, I catch myself. ;) ;D

Those are only a few things...I know I have much more I'd like to accomplish...it's just that I can't always remember things to put down on paper when I'm actually trying to think of them. *rolls eyes*

Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

Matthew 28:20b ...and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

In Christ,
~E

P.S. No, I didn't actually post this at 12...I scheduled it. ;D
