It hasn't always been this way
I remember brighter days
Before the dark ones came
Stole my mind
Wrapped my soul in chains

Now I live among the dead
Fighting voices in my head
Hoping someone hears me crying in the night
And carries me away

Set me free of the chains holding me
Is anybody out there hearing me?
Set me free

Morning breaks another day
Finds me crying in the rain
All alone with my demons I am

Who is this man that comes my way?
The dark ones shriek
They scream His name
Is this the One they say will set the captives free?
Jesus, rescue me

As the God man passes by
He looks straight through my eyes
And darkness cannot hide

Do you want to be free?
Lift your chains
I hold the key
All power on Heav'n and Earth belong to me

You are free
You are free
You are free

This is a beautiful song; it helped me through many hard days when my family was being delievered from the demons that bound us. (I'll post more about that story later. :))

Listen to it on my playlist at the bottom of thsi page; it's #3 or 4. Beware, it gets a bit rocky, so if you really are offended by that style, don't listen. Considering the subject matter, I understand the intensity of the music style, but some would be offended by it.

Day 7: FF Challenge

I finally got to finish the challenge! All day Saturday I wore a skirt. ;D

So, here is the final outfit; I got the skirt at a thrift shop not too long ago and the top was given to me by a friend.

We're back!

We had so much fun camping! I think this has been the best camping trip ever. Almost all of our church families came. What with fishing, playing games (dare-base, soccer, tag, etc.), pulling a fish hook out of Pepper's leg (THAT was interesting), swimming, sleeping with eight girls in a 4-man tent (that was interesting too. ;D) sitting around the campfire, and singing, we had a full time of it, too!! The weather was gorgeous, too...a little cool at night (I think it was in the 30s, which in TX is chilly. ;)) but definitly bearable. Oh, and I forgot: we got leeches from the swimming!! OH YUCK!!! One of my friends came out of the water saying "something bit me"....and then she and I were checking her feet and these things were stuck all over them. :o Yikes! We got them pulled off....then I checked my feet and found some on me, too. :P We had gone out towards the middle of the lake were there was a lot of squishy mud/leaves, and I"m guessing that's where we picked them up. Ewww!! Anyway...hope everyone had as fun of a weekend as I did!!

Just a quick note...

I'm so sorry I wasn't able to complete my "7 day FF challenge"....I haven't worn a single skirt all week. :P I"ve been sooo busy with grooming school....8 hrs a day. Wow. Up at 5:15-5:30 (that's early for me. :D) and home by 5:30 or 6. By then, what's the use of putting on a skirt? Anyway....I'll complete it this weekend. :)

Talk to y'all later!

Day 6: FF challenge

Day 6's outfit; I went to church today, so I had something nicer on. ;)

I love that red on me! Looks great, I think. :)

Tomorrow I'm going to grooming school, so I won't likely be on here as much. I'll leave at around 6 in the morning and not get back until around 6:30 or 7. :P The traffic is AWFUL where I'm going. Why oh why does Petsmart choose THAT location!!??!! Oh well, only for a month then it's back to my store and familiarity. I LOVE familiarity. ;D Please pray for me...I will need extra strength and courage. (Especially courage; I feel very small, shy, and un-courageous at times! ;))

Day 5: FF challenge

So here's my outfit for today!! A good ol' navy blue skirt with a green striped top. That green probably isn't my color, but who cares when you're cleaning? Not me. ;D My hair is just a regular bun. I banded it into a pony tail, twisted it, and wrapped it around the base, securing it with little butterfly clips. Simple and stays all day!

Day 4: FF challenge

This is one of my favorite outfits. I love pastel colors! :D I just had to include that second picture; rarely does Patsy voluntarily get into a picture. ;D They are so silly....;D

And for my hair...a Dutch braid!! It's basically an inside-out French braid. I love them!!

Day 3: FF challenge

Here's the outfit and hairstyle of the day!! I just did a good ol' pony tail for today. It was nice and simple sounding. ;)

Day 2 of Feelin' Feminine Challenge

OK, I'm on day two!! It's going pretty well so far. :) For me, the only thing that's a bit difficult is a different hair style for each day. I'ts not that I don't know how to do plenty of things, it's that I have to pick and choose carefully or I'll get a headache! :P My hair is pretty thick, and now that it's getting longer it's heavy, so....

The shirt I'm wearing is one of my favorites!! It has some little red sequins on it that outline the flower's middles and I think it's really pretty. Excuse my bare feet; I'm cleaning. ;D

Oh, and I know it looks like I'm leaning backwards...I'm not. Little brother took the picture for me, and he's only about 4 feet tall while I'm 5'9". ;D I guess the camera had to be tilted up a bit. ;)

I put instructions for my hair a few posts down....if you wanted to know how to do it, that is. ;)

Day 1: Feelin' Feminine Challenge

Jenna (Feminine Farmgirl) invited all who read her blog to do this challenge. Here're the "rules": wear a skirt 7 days in a row, do your hair different each day, and post pictures of it. Sadly, I'm unable to wear skirts all the time because of my job, but Jenna told me to just wear one when I could. So, here's day one!!

To join the challenge, go to the Feminine Farmgirl blog....www.femininefarmgirl.blogspot.com

Both of these items were from the thrift store, FYI. The shoes weren't though. And I don't normally dress that nicely....we were having our pictures taken professionally today. ;)

Hope my hair counts as a do!! It's in a pony now. I don't usually leave my hair down, so I figured it would count as something different. ;)

Sunday evening fun.

Tonight my sisters were practicing hopping over the banister; I got some pics of it, too. ;D

Isn't little one cute?!? She's the 3 yo. And supposedly not feeling well right now. Heehee, I kinda wonder about that. ;D

Check out the video I put at the bottom of my page...it's the Slow Fade music video.
